Dr Jane Standen

Dr Jane Standen holds dual specialist qualifications as a Consultant Anaesthetist and a Specialist Pain Physician. She is appointed at the Sydney Adventist Hospital, Mater Hospital, Norwest Private Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. She has expertise in the treatment of both early onset and persistent pain. She specialises in minimally invasive procedures, aiming to reduce pain and enhance quality of life.

 

She attended Abbotsleigh and studied medicine at the University of Sydney. She is an honorary tutor with the University of Sydney Masters in Pain medicine. She is actively involved in pain management education of junior staff and regularly conducts GP educational sessions.

 

Areas of interest include treatment of neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome and managing pain in the elderly. Dr Standen practices with an empathetic manner, promoting evidence based treatment and multidisciplinary care.
